Biography
Wilson Greene was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. Following his graduation from Saint Xavier High School, Wilson attended the College of Charleston located in Charleston, South Carolina. Following college, Wilson returned home to Louisville to attend the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. Immediately following the bar exam, Wilson began his legal career representing people who suffered severe personal injuries or death.
His first major case involved representing a wife who had lost her husband when he was killed in an automobile collision with an 18-wheeler. Since then, Wilson has focused a large portion of his career on heavy truck litigation, Wilson has represented numerous families who have lost loved ones as a result of commercial trucking collisions. Wilson has authored several articles used to educate other attorneys on how to effectively litigate heavy truck cases. Wilson is a member of the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America and has regularly been associated by attorneys in other states to handle cases involving commercial truck collisions. To the benefit of his clients, he has resolved multiple cases in excess of a million dollars. He has successfully achieved settlements or verdicts in commercial truck collisions throughout the southeast, including South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, and Kentucky.
In addition to his representation of individuals involved in commercial truck accidents, Wilson has recovered significant settlements and verdicts for individuals in a wide range of cases, including; automobile accidents, slip and falls, motorcycle accidents, workers' compensation claims, injuries from fires and explosions, permanent burns and scarring, bad faith claims against insurance companies, product liability claims, medical negligence, pharmaceutical litigation, rollover claims against automobile manufacturers, negligence by bars and restaurants for violating alcohol liability laws, failure to pay wages and commissions, and negligence actions against construction contractors for jobsite injuries and premises injuries.
Prior to founding The Greene Law Firm, PLLC, Wilson was an attorney with the Charleston, South Carolina law firm of Pierce, Herns, Sloan & McLeod, LLC where his practice included representing both Defendants and Plaintiffs. Early in his career, Wilson had the opportunity to work for a large insurance company defending automobile collisions and premises liability claims. This provided the unique opportunity to gain insight as to the tactics defense counsel utilize when evaluating and defending a case. The opportunity to work for an insurance company early in his career has been beneficial because now Wilson can utilize his experience and insider knowledge regarding defense tactics to his advantage while in litigation, negotiations, and trial.
